BIG SPECIAL are today sharing an acoustic version of firm fan-favourite single 'BLACK DOG / WHITE HORSE'.

Having released their acclaimed debut album POSTINDUSTRIAL HOMETOWN BLUES in May via SO Recordings, the band have been taking the record around the world, with many more highlights still to come. Alongside UK and European festival appearances, they'll also be sharing stages with the likes of PIXIES and Richard Hawley, before joining John Grant for his full UK and EU tour in October and November. The band's biggest UK headline show to date, at the London's O2 Kentish Town Forum, takes place on 29th March 2025. Tickets are on sale now.

Talking about the acoustic version, lead singer Joe Hicklin says: "Some songs when written are all done on the acoustic guitar and then reframed to our sound. This was an early version of the song that we cracked out for some record store shows on our album tour. I’ve always loved stripping songs down to their most bare bones form, to really let the true elements of a song shine through. For me nothing breaks or heals a day like one sad person and one sad instrument. We had some real nice feedback about this version on tour, so thought we’d get it recorded and stick it out."
