Electronic music PR / Ambient music PR
For those of you making and producing electronic music, you need a PR company that has the right contacts, will approach the right blogs, and, importantly, gets what you’re doing.
We like to think we’ve got a team that is more open-minded and dedicated to working on outsider genres than other music PR companies. We should say now that if you’re making chart-friendly house music, then we probably aren’t the right company for you. Likewise, if your influences are Tiesto or David Guetta — again, we’re likely not going to be the ones for your record.
We are extremely proud to have handled the press for the last two albums from seminal producer, DJ and composer Andrew Weatherall, securing pieces in the The Guardian (4 pages), Q (5 pages), Record Collector (5 pages) and The Wire (4 pages) as well as reviews and features in CRACK, DJ Mag, Loud & Quiet, Mixmag, Mojo, Q, Uncut, the Quietus, Louder Than War, FACT, Clash, Resident Advisor, Stereogum, XLR8R, The Line Of Best Fit, Music OMH and more.
We have also worked with electronic and drone music pioneer Harold Budd, the Brian Eno curated All Saints Records, Warp, new-age mystic Laraaji, Helge Sten (Deathprod / Supersilent), John Paul Jones’ semi-improvised Minibus Pimps project and leftfield French artist Bernard Szajner.
In slightly different territory, we’ve also worked with synthwave breakthroughs Gunship since their inception. Combining nostalgic hark backs to sci-fi, B-movies, retro gaming and with cameos from John Carpenter, Charlie Simpson, Will Wheaton, Timmy Cappello, Kat Von D and more, there are many facets to their music.
With all of these elements appealing to such a vast range of people, we have been able to secure coverage across music, gaming, movie and tech media such as Nerdist, VICE, London Evening Standard, Earmilk, IGN, Kerrang!, Electronic Sound, Metal Sucks, New Retrowave, Dread Central, Retro Synthwave, Den Of Geek, Wired, A.V. Club, FACT, Digital Spy, Shortlist, Games Radar, PC Gamer, Vehlinggo, Bloody Disgusting and many more.
Gunship’s singles have also accrued millions of plays across YouTube, with their single ‘Tech Noir’ currently sitting at over 5m plays and several of their songs in the multiple millions across DSP’s such as Spotify.
There are so many avenues of press that can be explored under the banner of electronic music. We feel that we are better informed than most when it comes to understanding the different elements that go into composing this sort of music and are keen to exhaust every possible angle. We are regularly called upon to place exclusives and premieres from key remixers, too.
We are just as equipped to handle single tracks as we are album campaigns. Try us.
