Satellite Stories return with their brand new single ‘Coupons’, the first taste from what will be their fifth and final studio album, ‘Cut Out The Lights’, which is set for release worldwide on September 14th, with a worldwide tour to take place thereafter. 'Coupons' premiered today at CLASH who call it "A fizzing, cracking, explosive return. 'Coupons' is ridiculously infectious, with those gossamer synths rattling against an insistent, incessant guitar line."

Satellite Stories frontman Esa Mankinen tells us ‘Coupons’, is our brand new single, which we hope the fans will agree is somewhat of a return to the original Satellite Stories sound and feel; 3 minutes 14 seconds of pure energetic indie pop.”

As Finland's biggest and most successful indie act ever - with over 60 million streams worldwide, and over 300 headline shows, in no less than 17 countries spanning 3 continents - Satellite Stories returned to their roots to create their latest material. ‘Cut Out The Lights’ is an album where the band have taken the decision to self produce, to maintain complete creative control and make certain the ideas come across fully in the manner they wish.

“It is all on us again now, which is a position we love, the challenge is immense, we have put everything into this record, a full year in the making.” says lead guitarist Marko Heikkinen.

Mankinen continues; “On this album we went back to the basics of how we made music from the start, the four of us locked away in the Nordic landscape for inspiration, with a focus on the melodies and what production brings the best to the songs.”

‘Coupons’ is released May 4th, with the album due for worldwide release on September 14th.
