After their relentlessly successful debut - which Artrocker proclaimed as 2011's “best debut album from a British band” - The Savage Nomads return with brand new material in EP Tension In The Middle.

Retaining their technical proficiency and intelligent dynamism, the EP is a calm and serene yet no less punk-infused twelve minutes of notable talent. Lead guitarist Joe Gillick’s prodigious skills are showcased even further while Salewicz’s idiosyncratic voice spouts sharp lyrics and wonderful new vocal sounds.

Tension In The Middle, with its somber piano and hallucinatory ambience, juxtaposes their former buoyant bangers, such as recent single What The Angel Said, with real integrity, alluding to the band’s contemplative nature. Four Personalities continues along a similar theme while throwing in their sparingly utilised trumpet (which reinforces their dub influences with understated finesse). Featuring as the airy, phantasmal closer to the EP is An Empty Seat, one of the true highlights from their aforementioned debut Coloured Clutter.

The Savage Nomads are continuing their effortless crusade, having already been hailed as saviours of contemporary music by many in a position to know. Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of The Clash, Matt Johnson (The The) and Robyn Hitchcock have all vocally offered their support and the band have garnered fiercely supportive reviews in Music Week, The Independent and The Mirror as well as a rapidly-building online buzz.

Mick Jones even had the band support him during his "Justice Tonight" tour amid a line up including leading members of Primal Scream and The Manic Street Preachers. Also, when The Jim Jones Revue saw The Savage Nomads live, they immediately invited them to be a support act on their upcoming tour. They will be joining them at their Gloucester date.

On top of their residency at Notting Hill Arts Club, The Savage Nomads have been booked for Yard Life festival among Pete Doherty and The Filthy Dukes and will be playing the main stage at Beach Break festival on the same bill as Dizzee Rascal.
